SHORT MOVIES: FOR OR AGAINST?
I have received quite a few mails from some people on Msp about stopping short movies and a few from the American Msp as well. I do agree with other people’s views that short movies are like cheating your way through to the top even though they're NOT against Msp rules. I get that it may seem very unfair to others who don’t make them and struggle to make fame every day.I want to also make it clear that even though I make short movies on my account, (once a week) I am not a huge fan of them and in fact I am personally going to stop and leave it up to my bro until I reach level 24 (a promise I made to him).
Being at the top of the leaders board is not a big deal to me, and some people seem to forget I only got there because mrloverlover left Msp. Hopefully, I will be remembered for my long movie series which I am proud of, and which I believe made me well known on Msp. After level 24, I will be making the occasional long movie whenever I have the time to do so.

I don't think they're right... Even if you have proper movies, its hard to find them when you've made 250 shot movies before hand. And most people of make short movies now, so if I'm looking for a friends movie I have to go through like 700 shortmovies.

I agree with some of the things you said Red diamond Rose. A friend mailed me a few days ago to watch their competition movie and I went to MovieTown and couldn't find the movie because so many short movies were being made. Someone suggested to me maybe if the movie stars from the leaders board stop making shorts and fight fair, others will make an attempt to stop?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my bff Pandypolo stop making short movies a while ago because she absolutely dislike them and only made them because she was annoyed that she was being passed on high scores by short movie makers. She doesn't care anymore.
Aha. Some people are starting to bully me for making sm's... Like... What the... One second people are like Short Movies are the way to go... Then there like shouting "STOP MAKING SM'S" Right into my face :3 Im probably going to stop sm's at level 24 if I ever get there... Since level 23 is still very far away from me ;( Ah well xx(:

O_o bullying others for making shorts, that's wrong! Surely there are other ways? Short Movies are not against Msp rules guys, Bullying is! I will report anyone who send me insulting mails about short movies, end of. I have nothing against you Lilly, we've both been victims of gossip unfortunately.

i really only make sms to earn fame and sc's.I just make them cuz i cant get any long movies done:(Thats what annoys me.
ReplyDeleteWell i'm against but for aswell like i have never made a short movie and i am not planning to because it's not cheating but it's how ppl seem to kinda push thereselves to the top but there again what happens if you like make loads of long movies and ppl only want to make like 20 sc so they wanna watch 2 short movies really quickly then they won't watch yours because all you have is long! 0_o love u as a friend ish and yeah we can totally hang out sometime on imvu!

Well Said Sweetthang:) You make a good point in questioning why ppl chose to make and watch short movies. There are some people who make them every single day purely to move to the top which I think is wrong. I started making shorts (once a week if I may add) after level 20 for reasons which I have previously discussed in my blog. I didn't make them to move up levels. I was already at the top and leading quite a bit, and pls don't get me wrong because I'm not defending my reasons for making them either. I’m just saying that perhaps ppl should think about why they chose to make them in first place and ask whether it‘s necessary.

I think some people just like short movies for the $10 sc too. Like I'll watch short movies and just go on other accounts while I watch them.

Well I got all the way to level 9 without short movies... By making about 30 movies. I was non-vip and got about 25 views on each, but when I started sm's people started to like me and look upto me, so I continued them and got as far as I am todaay thanks to people niceness. So like yeah. Thats my mini-story. And im not stopping anytime soon because I want to secure 2nd place ;D

I am not looking down on anyone here when I say this but I will be gutted if I’m only remembered for short movies when I eventually leave Msp. I worked hard on my movie series such as “A Family Affair and Vintage” my best work to date if you want to check them out. I don’t think ppl who make short movies are dumb, that, in my opinion is a bit harsh. It’s just that some ppl find shorts to be a easier and faster way to earn fame and coins plus they become addictive to them. But, they can definitely be stopped if they want to.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I'm not sure what I think of them! If u watch any movie u receive money it's just short movies are short with nothing in them. To make them fairer I think MSP should make sure all short movies are interesting by making u use speech in them and u have to use animations at some point. I'm not a huge fan of making them but its a good way of getting income so I don't have to ask for wishys...which I'd rather not do.

But Shortmovies Actully Do help *SOME* people in some cases,
See When People *rate* a Movie they get 10 Starcoins Right?,
Well When A new Comp comes out and people beg you for gifts you can simply say Watch some of mine or somone elses shortmovies you get 10 starcoins per one you watch..(it saves you money and time)(And teaches them how to make starcoins instead of begging) But shortmovies are a dissavantage to people like ishacool & pandypolo who worked hard to get were they are today, I beleve isha use to make a *Proper*movie every day or 2. (So i heard),
But now people are taking advantage of shortmovies and shooting up highscores like packs1 for example (I dont think he has made a proper movie at all!) (He should try it some time) As For *I*, Am starting a movie Seriese on my level 19 very soon.

Taking about Packs1, someone mailed me asking how much fame I make a day because Packs1 makes between 500,000 to 1 million fame points in a day?! Wow, Is that possible? The most I believe I make a day is 200,000 fame points, but then I do not make shorts everyday so I don’t know what to say other than that amount seem quite a lot.

At the beggining, I was completely against shorts, thinking them a waste of time and a cheat. I worked hard with my long movies and tried my best.
ReplyDeleteThen people with shorts overtook me, and it made me increadibly angry that people who don't even TRY could earn fame so easily. So I joined in. No I don't enjoy making them, but I do want something to show for my last year and a bit and also my coming year.
Anyway the person who started this was Smileylucy, and in my opnion she's being a hypocrite as we all know she makes/ made them too, so what's the point of her doing this? I think she's angry about loosing her place too.
Either way no matter how hard she tries, she'll not win. Like dirty forums, people will just ignore the rules and make them anyway.
I'm tired of fighting for a war there is no point to.
Dont worrie about the fame he makes compared to you Iv watched you earn a lot of fame in the past week isha like OHEMGII o_O.
ReplyDeleteBut packs1 watches his own movies and thats a fact, see when he started leveling up he made 20 movies per day and got exsacally 38 viwes on each one....
And his slowly making level 3 accounts and he gets a few viwes from other people now.. So he now has about 43 level 3 accoints as it all is to seeable.

for making the fame you made without watching your own movies, You dont go low like that, You are a person to your word. And you Definitly Deserve Top Place, (Sorry about my typos Its 3.00am Im typing in pitch black I cant get out of the sleeping rutene i got myself into) xD.... I agree with missm. In my and certain ppl on msps opinion Smileylucy is being a hypocrite. I get it people get angry when loads of ppl over take them on highscores. But saying things that you have done yourself. Makes yourself a total attention seeker. I made short movies like on Tuesday and today I was about to make more but I feel weird about it. So I deleted them. But if I feel like making them. Idgaf about hypocrites I will make them. I try hard to pass the same stages that Bex and all other ppl have achieved with long movies. But I guess i'm different. I have nothing against short movies. And it helps us makers, and watchers 100%.
ReplyDeleteIts annoying when people overtake forums with nonsense. And say manager said 'Shortmovies are cheat'. Its piss taking >.< Manager told me once that 'Shortmovies are not against the rules.' So I don't give a damn about the jealous people out there. My opinion :) Peace x'P

Thanks for your comments and opinions guys and oh Wow MissM in da house! xD. I hear your annoyance and frustrations guys. The fact is, we will all end up losing our high score positions to short movie makers, it's just a matter of time. But, it's okay. Msp is still just a game site at the end of the day and with most games ppl fight dirty. Reality is very different.

ReplyDeleteOk. So this might seem a bit shallow, but... I made an account called xxshortmoviesqueenxx and tryed to get her up to lv3 by watching her shorties. The only reason I wanted her to be lv3 is so I could give myself gifts and other people likie close frineds who help me out all the time. But now I feel bad :(
ReplyDeleteAnother thing there's this girl called SelnaGomez. I must of got at least 16,000 fame today. And everytime I looked to see if I'd beaten her I did then I'd look again in the next 5 mins and she's above me with about 5,000 fame. But how? I personally thinks she using cheats or something but I don't know.
I also don't know whether to delete her as a frined but then she on the world highscores will still be beating me :( Anyone got any advice?
I agree with MissM I get so frustrated when people shoot up the leaderboard and over take me for doing NOTHING! I think shortmovies are so stupid becuase they have no meaning and waste 10 seconds of your life and get really boring...

ReplyDeleteHi (: I actually LOVE sm's, as when I want money I just watch them quickly, it helps alot. Plus I have nearly three hundred of them, because they are easy fame makers. They aren't cheating, otherwise MSP admin and staff wouldn't alow it. Think to yourself what good they do your money and fame bar, and just stop hating them for a second. I also LOVEEE long normal movies, because I love a good movie series to watch. So I am for them, and nothing can change my opinion. So don't be against them, because infact there is nothing wrong with them. Most people disagree with them because they are jealous of the people ( no one in particular here ) that make them, and because they can't be bothered theirselves.
